In my third installment of my runway to real life series, I chose to highlight neutrals. Shades of beige, ivory, tan, and khaki are always great classics for spring and summer dressing. There seemed to be a exceptional amount to them on the runway this season, showing mostly looks with head to toe neutrals. Neutral colors that traditionally may be partnered with brighter hues, took center stage all on their own; resulting in classy, ladylike dressing. There was a noticeable trend towards safari silhouettes with dresses and tops. Also continued from fall, there were tons of animal prints, especially python accents to compliment the neutral palette.
I had a lot of fun putting together the looks from this capsule. If you follow me at any great length, you know I’m usually a girl who wears everything colorful. I very much enjoyed letting go of all the color for these more subtle looks. I always feel like when you are in doubt about what to wear, you can never go wrong with neutrals. All of the outfits in this post will be those types of go-to wardrobe pieces for this season and beyond.
