Last week, I posted a recap of my favorite 5 wearable fashion trends for spring/summer 2019. My commitment from that post was to bring you wearable and affordable interpretations of those fashion ideas. Today, I’m highlighting the first of those 5 trends, Pale Blue.
Although pastels usually make an appearance in fashion, around the time of Easter, this year seems different. This spring, there was a lot of newness in color, especially with pastel hues. Sorbet shades like lavender, sherbet orange, yellow, and most notably pale blue have dominated spring fashion.
I choose to highlight pale blue in this segment because it is a color that many of us can wear. Styles in this color seem to be more dressed up this season. Chambray and seersucker dresses and tops were replaced with structured jackets and more tailored dresses made in more formal fabrics.
My looks here are a little dressed up without being too formal. Two out of the three looks in this post were shot on a Saturday at the beautiful Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage, California. Because this was a family outing, where we happened to also be shooting for my blog, I didn’t want to feel awkward or totally overdressed while chasing my toddler.
Still on the hunt for something new to wear for Easter this weekend? Hopefully my looks photographed below, or the additional ones linked at the end of the post are the perfect inspiration to update your spring wardrobe.
