Although prints are always a staple for spring/summer dressing, they usually tend to be floral. I have my share of florals, from bold and tropical to tiny buds and blooms. This season though, I was excited to see scarf prints making an appearance as an alternative to all the florals.
For the second trend in my five part runway to reality spring series, I chose to highlight scarf prints. To view my first trend featured in this series, click here.
I’m drawn to the classic nature of scarf prints, especially those reminiscent of vintage Hermes scarves. Prints with ropes, buckles, chains, equestrian nods, and paisley all made their way into garments this spring. When I think of scarf prints in the summer, my mind is drawn fabulous vacations on the French Rivera and giant Yachts cruising the Mediterranean.
Although I’m unfortunately not planning a Mediterranean getaway this summer, I have dissected this runway trend by finding many wearable and affordable pieces featured below. I had so much fun working with one of my best friends, Octavia Klein Photography for all of the shots in this post. I hope these looks inspire you to incorporate scarf prints into your wardrobe this season!
